Clan [IA] - Independent Alliance

The biggest difference between our clan and the other great clans is we play, while the others may show up one day we are on everyday!
Use to play verses we always play. While other clans promise to play, We play.
Everyone is invited to join our clan. Our goal is to be the best squad (clan) of Evochron. Which means helping and protecting new players who just bought the game. The Borg and Romulan actually discourage people from playing because getting blown-up isn't fun. They create ill-will ambassadors who will tell their friends that this wonderful game isn't fun and in turn will not buy it. When in fact it is a blast. If it wasn't for Vice, B5, Solar and Eclipse, I would of quit playing. Now I am hooked, thanks to these great people.
By being the unofficial police of Evochron we can make this game fair to all.
This way more aliens and humans will play and encourage others to buy the game. More pilots equals more fun.
Unlike other clans we have no politics, No leader just unity in numbers.
If someone messes with your ship we mess with their ship.
Each member of IA is a leader, so you are required to act like one. Just because you can start a war, doesn't mean you should but if you do remember we have your back.

Guys, I am a very successful business person and creating ill-will ambassadors is a real marketing nightmare for manufacturers (regardless the product).
Romulan and the Borg destroying newbies because they can is not a good experience for the new consumers of this wonderful game.
Most people will try something once and if it's bad they quit whatever it is and tell their friends that this product stinks and don't buy. One ill-will ambassador will tell 10 of his or her friends not to buy this game.
I like this game and I want more people to buy it and play it.
If the Borg or Romulan want to fight, then find a pilot with high rank like Eclipse, Miaz or me.
We are starting to see a lot of players, why let a couple of bullies ruin the momentum of this great game.

As soon as I get back from my 6th U-Boat patrol, I'll have about 20 days of "shore leave" to jump into multiplayer. Some of it, of course, I'll need to spend testing the Foundations mod ... but not all.

It was great seeing you and Denny yesterday. I will always remember when you sent me a stealth generator and I didn't have a tractor beam and then we watched drift helplessly into cyberspace! We were scratching our heads going what the heck!
We unsuccessfully tried and tried for over an hour.
I finally got one from a hidden planet.

I just signed on with IA and happy to be there. I have had more help and fun since I started with IA members and would like to do the same for new pilots to Evochron.

I actually can't agree more with Star King on the issue of Romulan. While most players who come from places like EVE, they are used to it. But others will simply quit the game or strictly play singleplayer. We want to promote new players to Evochron and MP.

But at the same time, I think Romulan adds an interesting dynamic to the game, and that is why IA will offer assistance to those who need help.

I would come up with a slogan, but I don't think "IA - Noob Protectors" sounds overly catchy. lol

Well done Beej for affiliating yourself with a clan! It's much more fun in multiplayer when you team up with other clan members, although I haven't seen any of my clan online for months... the European members seem to have completely abandoned EL! I might have to defect to another clan soon
