Another new pilot

Hi all just wanted to say hello and that I am looking forward to being a part of this community. Got the game last night and had a bit of a look. Am a little confused so far with the navigation and finding stations etc. Have been a fan of the space sims since frontier elite 2 on the old amiga so I hope I will find a similar experiance with this game as I still play the frontier game on dosbox.

If you like Elite, you'll like EL so much imo

Best way to learn the game is to play it. Best place to learn is in MP, where most pilots will be only too pleased to help you out.

The 'Flight and Navigation' section in the strategy guide may also help with navigation:

Timing is everything. Keep checking back if you don't see anyone ... or just log on to the B5 server and hang around for awhile ... maybe do a few easy contracts while you wait. And, if somebody logs on and then makes a beeline for your position without first offering a hearty "hello" ... then prepare to engage in evasive maneuvers until a friendly face (or two) shows up.

And you will be for a long time, confused....that is....I'm still about some issues...LOL...
