I'm using 7 at the moment. I was using XP until recently, but felt it was time I upgraded. That, and Microsoft offered Windows 7 to students for £30, so that was a deal I simply couldn't pass up!

Windows 7 on most of my PCs, but I run a dual boot Ubuntu/Win7 on some of my older machines. Win7s performance on my older laptops/pcs seem on par with XP.

(lol) I would have to hook it up to see. It has two 5.25 floopy drives only and the bios battery is dead. I was thinking of donating it to a collector or such.

The fact that Microsoft is supporting XP through 2014 tells you Windows 7 has issues. I do not worry about other games because my time is limited and so I concentrate on Legends. As long as Vice supports this game I fear nothing!

2014, eh? Well that takes us past the end of the world in 12-21-12!
I'm all set then!
Anybody else worried?:P

Nope, because I know that 12-21-12 is not going to be the end of the World, some terrible things might still happen, but the world as our Fathers knew ended about 200 years ago............................................

What worries me thou is Microsoft XP, they only going to support it for another 4 years? That is really nothing compared to eternity.......LOL.....:P:P:P:P:P

Wait, I thought XP support was canceled a while ago. I guess my laptop is still getting updates, so I guess they still are.

Windows 7 here. No problems with it.

I think I read somewhere that XP will be supported until 2012 ... or maybe it was 2011. Anyway, your laptop should be good for a few more months of bug fixings, security hole plug-ups and useless eye candy.

You'd be surprised at how many people are still using XP and will continue to do so for a looong time.

 The only problem with XP is, the longer you (including me) use it, the further back you'll need to search the forum for solutions to successfully installing software under Windows 7 (or whatever the follow-on will be to the follow-on).

My company IT dept. is having problems with needed Company programs running well under windows 7. They say it will be quite some time before we make a major switch ( I have one of two test machines with windows 7 Pro ) to 7. I have one security program that has gone thru 5 updates and still has problems with hangups on windows 7. My Own Personal 2 computers with Win 7 Pro work well with most programs but I will and do use my XP computers as much as the Win 7's.

 Guess I need to send my son to Pinole when he graduates (IT major) next month. He has Windows 7 jumping through hoops. (And Pinole is only a hop, step and a jump from here.)

Our IT Dept could use some help (lol) but their main problem is that they are located in La Mirada ( Los Angeles ) which we up here call SMOG CITY.:P

Had windows Vista for a spell, but after switching to Snow Leopard (Mac) I decided I would rather have a windows computer. One shiney new Asus laptop later, I had Windows 7.

I prefer windows 7. Simpler, easier to use, and generally a better system then vista. What vista should have been imho.
