New player checking in

Hello all,

I've been playing the single player for a couple of weeks and would like to start venturing into the multiplayer realm. Are there any groups out there who wouldn't mind showing me the ropes online?

Just check who is online and join if you see more then 2 players online that are not Romulan or Terasin or [BA]
and Ask them questions. Some of the last 3 clans members like to attack new players as an enemy welcome comitee or party. They shoot and kill you first and then let you ask questions later. LOL

I guess my next question would be: how do I check and see how many people are online? All I can seem to do is find the servers, but I can't figure out a way to check how many people are on them. Also, can you chat with anybody on your server or just players within a certain distance?

Welcome Six. I may be somewhat prejudiced, but I think you will find the most helpful & friendly pilots on Babylon 5.
Once you are connected you can chat with anyone & everyone and sometimes, if you're lucky, you can actually chat with the server itself! So even tho you might be alone, the "server" will chat with you.
To see if anyone is on a server, right click first.

To check who is online right click on the Server you want to check. If no players show up then there is no one on line on that Server. Also Babylon 5 Server Operator if he is around will great you and talk to you.

You can chat with any one on the Server by pressing Enter then type your message and hit Enter again to transmit your message. You can also send a private message when locking on to another player by pressing Alt and Enter but private messages requires you to be in vissual radar range and having a radar lock. You can also join a Team speak Server and you can then talk to players who also use team speak using a microphone.

It didn't take long for my next question. Is there a way to check who's on the server once you're on it? Again sorry for the simple questions?

Yes again. By pressing the tilde while in the game, you can see your stats on the left and all other players on the right.
The tilde key is usually just above the tab key and looks like this ~
Sometimes the scroll lock key will do the same.

Us BA clan are not so easily beaten these days, especially now that I have helped Bossky Boy on some of his errant tactics.

But I am sure he will refute that - he always does.

Thanks for such a warm welcome guys. DennyMala and Marvin took me on my first tour of a combat zone today. It took them a little bit to get me there, but once I was there, I had a great time.

I dont have "Errant Tactics", I just have issues using a joystick with hands with onlt 3 claws!
