damn, i love this game

bought the game the other day and i LOVE it, i really do. probably amongst the best space sims i ever played. and i pretty much played them all since elite.

but one question, it's only small detail, but it's slightly bugging me: since i play this game mainly by keyboard, is there any way to target a ship in your forward visual range by pressing a key? i can target the nearest ship, the next hostile etc. i KNOW you can target it by clicking on it with the mouse, but i would really love if there was any key i could assign to do it. maybe i couldn't figure it out, but i guess it is just not possible

anyway, my name in multiplayer is 'Colt Rivers', i'll definitely see you out there soon!

I think you can configure any key or button using the configuration menu.

Hi Colt, saw ya in MP the other night. Think the key you're looking for is "o", might be wrong. You can find what all the keys are by hitting "Esc" in game, and configure keyboard.

I'd recommend getting a joystick. I use the Logitech 3D Pro, it's good, and it's cheap.

The default 'Y' key lets you target a ship in your gunsight. Glad you're enjoying the game!

Thumpy your not the only one who loves this game its AWESOME!!!!! Vice is doing a great job on this game. I say doing because he is always improving on it withall the updates:) I really hope to get a chance to fly with you Thumpy see you out there soon

Yep, many are addicted to this game so be carefull what you wish for. And you can use the Y key for targetting ship in gunsight. Welcome to the Game and Forum. Hope to see you out there. LOL
