ship mass

i'm making a glove pie script to control some of my favorite games using voice input as well as my wii mote and i am scripting an inertial accelerator, which will allow me to specify a speed and the ship will accelerate for the correct amount of time to reach that speed, anyway, due to the different mass of each frame and thrust of each engine, i was wondering if anyone could tell me the relative masses of each ship, that i could then use to calculate how long it would take to accelerate to the specified speed with different engine/frame combos.
i'd work it out myself, but i really don't have the patience to sit and work out 0-4k with each frame and then reverse engineer it to get a relative mass. lol

been doing a li'l testing, talon with lvl 1 everything, cruise speed of 1020, after 5 seconds reaches a speed of 306. while with a lvl 2 engine, after 5 seconds it reaches a speed of 314, if we assume that thrust is calculated in newtons and speed is meters per second, i get an acceleration of 61.2ms^-2 and 62.8ms^-2 for each engine, if i then divide that by the thrust from each engine, i get 2.5Kg and 4.8Kg respectively, meaning that illumine MKII weighs 2.3Kg more than MKI. now i will have to go through every engine and find how long i need to accelerate to reach each speed. unless someone can give me some kind of general formula for 0-desired speed so i can do this script.

it's not about over anlaysing, i just wanted to be able to specify a ship speed in pie and have my ship accelerate to that speed in inertial mode. i'm trying to work out how acceleration is calculated

i guess, oh well, i'll just have to hope that vice feels like giving me the info when he's on, if not i'll just have to stick with my current time based settings instead of speed based

Yes the information could be abused in PvP to gain an unfair advantage over your opponent.

It would be nice, though, to see this kind of stuff displayed in a set of performance charts. Not that I've ever spent much time dutifully studying performance charts.
