Hi space pilots! Hey, how exactly do you get a ship to join your fleet? Open trade and offer money? How much? I can't seem to find any details about it in the manual, although, I coulda swore I've read some somewhere. Sheeeez, too much beer, minds gone. Lol! Thanks pilots!!

I think it is you open the trade console and there is a button labelled "Add to fleet" or something like that. It should be in the trade console somewhere.

First you have to Target the ship you want to hire to join your fleet. And then in the Trade console there will be the option to hire for x amount of credits I believe.;)

I tried using a small fleet when I first started Renegades. Tbh, it cost more than it was worth. You soon find out how to handle yourself against the Reds without a fleet.

I ran a couple missions with a fleet of two extra ships and found it pretty helpful and profitable. I was able to complete enough missions in a row to offset the cost of the ships. They weren't completely without fault however as I had to make sure to lure the reds back into their range as they seemed to avoid afterburner use. In the end they would only take down 2-3 of the dozen or so reds but it was still fun having help.
