My Wife called me a dork

She caught me playing with my X-52, Track IR, and E-speaking voice recog. I tried to tell her it's essential for my survival. Women, geesh.

No problem, my girl friend says exactly the same.

Playing Evochron, doing mods and she noticed that I talk about Vice, Maars, Eclipse, Verbosity, Daedalao,clans, Marvin, Wasp,Terasins, Bravehart, etc etc. tooooo much. I have NS clan T shirts and Evochron posters on my home studio as well.
She knows everything about Evochron. And says ehhh, enough!!!

Women don't understand us.

But she is so successful to make up, dress up, parfums, high heels, mini-skirts,shoes, ahhh.

I am working so much in studio for the album and w/o Evochron and friends, I can't survive!

My wife always considered me to be a geek ( my chatup line with her involved black holes and quantum physics ), though she didn't realise quite how much until I started playing evochron.......

In saying that, she can't complain too much since she spends hours looking at cake pics on flickr on a regular basis

actually it was started by Queen Victoria, though only virgins should wear white, but strangely you don't see many red wedding dresses (or kitchen appliances :p ) around...............

Just so we're clear on terminlology:

A geek is someone who is so devoted to a particular hobby that they forget everything else.
A nerd is someone who is consumed by intellectual pursuits.
A dork is someone who has no social skills and often makes social blunders without thinking of the consequences.

So, now the noobs can catch up with the confab.

Ahhh, thanks Nigel, now when my wife calls me a name (Geek, Nerd, Dork) I can correct her on the proper context of the name in association with the situation:

At home=Geek
At work=Nerd
At my in-laws â€œget-togethersâ€� = Dork

This is going to be fun.

Actually a geek use to be a man in a carnival attraction. They would dig a pit and put the man (usually a drunk) dressed like a neanderthal in the pit. They would then throw down a live chicken or two and people would pay to see the poor sot devour it raw and whole. Cleared for launch! (turn office lights off and log in to server)

I emerge some hours later rambling on about the challenges of Mercenary life, missions I flew, other beings I encountered, the new ship I bought, etc....

And this is referred to as "playing video games" by the Mrs....

Thank goodness for TV soaps, X factor, and other ones I cannot remember while the wife watches these it gives me the chance to get into the real world of Evochron.
