Level 8 Shields...

It all depends on your situation and your skills.
If you have shield boosters, how you manage your energy and shield augmentations in fight and who or how many you are up against, the Armor of your ships frame and the skill in dodging in coming missiles and gun fire. Yes, in multi player if you are up against more Experienced fighters then it does not matter what you are flying it all comes down to skill. I had an Experienced fighter take me out with a Talon! And I was flying a Predator the heaviest and most armored ship with all the fancy equipment. So do not feel bad about the class 8 shields.

Just get practice with any equipment you can afford!;)
