Logitech Extreme 3D Joystick Help?

A few of us use the Logitech 3D Extreme joystick and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the throttle control to work?

In the Game joystick Control assignments of the Axis does the throttle movement of the Joystick move any of the sliders ?

If so assign that axis to the throttle.

Other then that I'm not familiar with the Logitechs programming.

In the Configure Controls menu, click on the option that reads '<<<< Click here to configure joystick axis controls >>>>' and follow the instructions.

I use the Logitech 3D pro. When you get into setting the sliders, I find that 1, 2, 4, 3 is the sequence, with 3 being your throttle control. There's nothing there for strafe, so, once you've set the 4 hit exit, and return to game.

I have to reconfigure the joystick at the start of every game!

I think there is a Save button in the Joystick configuration or main menu of Options. If you save your configurations you do not have to reconfigure every time at the Start of every game.

There is a software you have to install called "profiler".
You can save joystick profiles there.

Thanks all. Where do I get the "profiler" software? I use the save button, only saves for that particular game. And, it's saved, as far as I know, to the norm dir in disk C.

It would be handy to have a "save" button on the pilot profile, so that it could be saved in another location in case of main hard disk crash, or the means to save the game itself in another drive. There probably is, just I'm too ignorant to know where, or how - duh!

At the moment I do the weekly backup of entire disk, new files, to an external hard drive, and an extra copy in a USB stick.
