What Server for Multiplayer?

What server do most of you guys play on? Im waiting for my joystick to show up, and cant wait to start playing, until then, im using my xbox 360 controller just to get use to the game. Anything I should know about the game? I love space sims

Hi Mentat, Most of us play on the Babylon 5 server.Just remember B5 is a "no rules" server.Which means anyone is fair game for a sneak attack by other players.Most of the people here will ask for pvp first though, but there is at least one that doesn't, The Romulan.
On the SW server your safe in the sapphire sys from pvp attacks.

Looking forward to seeing you Mentat online and in MP....I like both servers and have a real blast on Babylon 5. Like shewter says, most people are on B5 and you will find a lot of different experienced pilots from new pilots to Veterans who have been around for awhile and a lot of pilots willing to help you when you need it.

Hi Mentat, I would say Babylon 5 is the most used server but you can always check before joining a Server who is on what server by right clicking on the Server name! And then decide which one you want to join. And also consider what Shewter said about Romulan and safe zone.

Yuppers...SW server is a great one for 1st time pilots to fly on in the Sapphire safe zone. You can have a Great time doing contracts and learn how to fly without having to look over your back.

Excellent, not realised the right click ability. When you are ingame is there way of telling who is ingame and also what systems they are in?

Finally any MP specific commands (other than return for chat)?

Yes, once in game, you may press the tilde key. It looks like this ~ it is located just above the Tab key.
Pressing that key will show your stats in the upper left and in the upper right, any players on line along with their rank and position. The position is limited to sector only.

The MP servers are available via the in-game menu. After selecting "Multiplayer," you need to click on the line that says, "click Find Internet Games to search for internet games" or "Click refresh to search for internet games."

Right clicking on any of the listed servers will tell you who is already on that server. Left clicking will log you in.

I use "Teamspeak" it's free for clan communication when online.

If you get ganked in MP, does it count as a permanent loss for that profile? Or is it like single player, where you have to save to make changes to a pilot profile?

Mp is just like SP.....the only difference is that the Default reputation stays the same in MP. You can change your reputation in SP
