Promotional Trailer Music

Post by Wasp89 »

I recall watching the Legends trailer and thinking that the music fit the game absolutely perfectly. The current menu screen music is a slowed down (and considerably shortened) version of that music; however, I much prefer the original version used in the trailer to the current version. I don't know how the licenses work, but is there a way you could release the original version in either an update of the game or a file that could be used to mod the game?

Thanks,

I checked with the author and he gave permission, so here it is in WMA format:

I seem to be having trouble modding the menu music. I've converted the .wma file to a .wav and renamed it "evmenumusic.wav" and placed it in the sw3dg/evochronlegends/music folder. It is not replacing the menu music on startup, however. The music isn't changing until I go into the options menu, turn off the menu music, and then turn it back on. This happens each time I load the game.

Lol, I guess no one else has tried to mod the menu music yet :) That is a bug, which has been fixed for the next update (test build should hopefully be available either this week or next).

The trailer music's great but I dig the Vangelis-y vibe of the slower stuff too. Does the composer have a site?
