Free infinite oxygen mining credits - bug?

Just started playing Evochron Legends (awesome game BTW) and have noticed what seems to be an infinite money loophole / bug in the latest build:

1) Dock with a planet;
2) Buy Mining / Tractor beam;
3) Buy as many cargo slots as possible;
4) Turn the tractor beam on;
5) O2 is mined while docked;
6) Double-click cargo bays when all full and each will net (Sapphire price today) around 18k.

Is this intentional?

Suggested fixes:

A) As you sell the O2 the price in the local market rapidly decreases, hence after selling 25+ units it isn't worth doing this until you fly into space and back (which would then make doing this too much a chore to be worthwhile).

B) Diallow mining beam to be activated when docked.

18K is not a lot of cash.
True, but there again I can set this going, head off for my lunch, come back and with sufficient cargo bays I'll have a stack of credits. All that money comes to me without having to play the game at all, which is really why I mentioned it :)

Try doing the same thing in Olympus, Fauston, Lambda, or Thuban and you will come back to a destroyed ship.
Excellent, good to hear - lousy O2-spongers like myself ought to be beaten with a happy stick in those systems for "misappropriation of valuable materials" :)

"Infinite" could be defined as the number that is one more than you're willing to count. In this case, infinite O2 is more oxygen than you'll have the patience to bottle.

I found a system where the prices are better than in Sapphire, and so the O2 racket, while still not exciting, yields a better payoff. However, by the time I found this planet, I already had enough money to buy whatever ship I wanted, so it was just a way to pay for fuel and the like.

In Thuban, there is a tax on the O2, and if try to make money there, they'll send red goons out to try to collect.

It doesn´t feel realistic to me to mine oxygen while docking at the starport or over the city. It is just to easy even if the money isn´t that much.
I always think it should be illegal / forbidden to mine oxygen over a city. Your tractor beam could disturb the coordination of groundcontrol / air traffic.

So we need security guards or polices to prevent carrying illegal cargos and minings? With faster ships. Would be cool imo.

LOL.....Well there are planets in not so nice systems that give you a challenge to fill up with oxygen while fighting hostiles :D...."Flame on Sparky we're under Attack!!".....:D

I find it cool that you can mine oxygen above cities. Especialy when you have 11.2 billion credits. The sale of the oxygen at the city is a good way to cover your fuel costs wich is expensive if you have that amount of credits as I do!:cool::cool::cool:
