Hey guys, new pilot here...
I'm a long time fan of the space combat/exploration/trading games (going back to the original Elite, on a Commodore 64!). I've been looking for something like this for a while now, but it seems lately everyone that takes a crack at a game in this genre just makes it too complex and gets it wrong.
I played the demo a bit, and EvoChron seems like it's exactly what I've been looking for, so I ordered it (actually, I'm an idiot and ordered EvoChron Renegades first, and spent a few minutes trying to figure out why the activation code wouldn't work. DOH!). Hopefully the billing people will sort it out for me.
Just wanted to say hello!

Hello
Hi Roadblock. I played Elite on the old Acorn Electron (with the extra memory add on and the external 3.5 floppy drive!) and the updated version (graphics anyways) Acorn Archi A300 as well. Enjoy the game.
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Hello
Hello Mr Block. Welcome to the forum.
Regarding the Acorn Archimedes (above), be advised it was an A3000 and it was upgraded with extra memory and a hard drive- 1 meg and 30 meg respectively (that cost an arm and a leg!) and its still going strong!!!
My other son still plays Elite on it every now and again. Brilliant GUI and graphics - RISC OS, starts up in about 10 seconds - ready to go.
Mr Gates could have learned a thing or two from that machine.
