Hi.

am new to the evochron universe, perty nice so far, i got the full game just a few days ago and been playing it a bit. i just bought a X52 pro last week and was looking for a new space sim i could play after quickly finishing all my other games hehe.

i haven't tried the multy player yet but might try that this week.

i had a few question i cant seem to find answered, is there a way to get an out of game map, to help me plot routes or what not?

if anyone as any tips for me greenhorn pilot would be appreciated, am still unsure of what am doing in game sometimes lol, got myself killed a few times by jumping in systems that dint like me much.

or any good x52 pro profiles too.

cant wait to get time ingame and maybe start playing online with some of you.

Welcome, Patramix. I'm new here myself, but in searching for the same thing, a reference map, I found this:

http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3445

It's been discontinued for updates but it's kinda cool. For some map info, check out the manual that comes with EL. I've been toying with the idea of getting some of that huge graph paper they sell at the art store and charting my own maps, but that might be a little extreme. I think a better understanding of the coordinate system will be a huge help, too.

As far as the X52 goes, it's all about experimentation and adjustment. Everyone's going to have their own preferences, and I would bet that there are probably as many profiles as there are X52 users. Basically I just tried to group throttle/thruster control to the left stick and fight/flight control to the right. I use hat 1 to pan around (set in the EL Options Menu) and hat 2 to control shields. Hat 3 I use for drift thrusters. Map and trading controls I bound to the toggles. Also I found it handy to disable the clutch control and bind the ALT key to the "i" button on the throttle.

At any rate, explore, experiment and have fun.
If you\'re feeling good, don\'t worry...you\'ll get over it.

Hi Patramix, Welcome to the game and forum! I have an X52 also and a lot of players of Evochron Legends do.
I do not use profiles, I use the ingame programing for my Saitek X52 which is suficient for me. There are some that use profiles and they may or may not share their profiles with you, but they might be able to help you set up a good profile!;)
