Converter Stations?
I learned that there is a station in Cerulean space that will convert Anti-Matter to Converters that you can take to a station near it; BUT !, do these stations tell you what they convert or do you just take cargo to it to Sample the conversion?
And maybe a speed toggle in the next upgrade to break the 3 sec. mark for tractoring.

There is only one kind of Converter, it is a fuel Converter it converts photons from stars and other photon producing objects to fuel for your ship! The Constructor stations construct from the material you bring in your cargo space different equipment depending on the material you bring. There is a list in the guide I believe that tells you what the construction stations convert to what! I know that also platinum, and elctrical units, and silver will be converted to some equipments at these construction stations. There are several of these stations all over Evochron, not just in Cerulean;)

Gosh, totally missed that, thanks; now does anything beat the return that converters have in cerulean space?

I never make that much! Does rank play into it in any way?
Plus, buying at stations, I never get the full ideal load every time. I usually truck whatever I find and transport that. I've heard it was faster just to keep self destructing to reload the station, but that doesn't work for me and isn't really realistic....
Still, with the right trade run, just buying whatever and occasionally getting a good haul, I can make a billion pretty quick.

**************LITTLE SPOILER ALERT***************
Rank plays a little bit of a roll in your profit making! Buy a station license at the station where you buy your arms cheap from, in the beginning of the game, when you have around a half billion in credits. You will make 25% to 30% more profit when selling your arms at the highest paying place. If you buy a license when you have for example 10 billion credits you will pay 500 million or more for a Station licence, and when you have about 1 billion credits you only pay around 50 million for a licence!
I know, I have over 11.2 billion in credits and bought the licences when I had about 11 billion in credits and wish I had bought the licences sooner!;)

Well, yeah, I know rank will affect your license price. But what about prices of individual items?

The game represemts a "dynamic economy" using the law of supply & demand, so prices of items will change accordingly.
If you mine plat, for example and take it to the same place every time for sale, you will see the price drop.
If you search the system for prices, you will see a big difference from one station/planet to the next over a variety of items.
This applies to items for sale as well. If you are looking for profitable "trade runs" it pays to explore.
Hope that clears things up.

Your rank will not affect individual items, these are governed by market fluctuations! However it affects fuel prices and storage fees and licences. According to Vice the fuel price will be capped of ones you reach Legend with the next Games update so this will change!;)Originally posted by Earl
