War zones

Currently I'm making career in the Sierra War zone and enjoying it as if it was a Wing commander game :) I'm still an ensign so the best I can fly is an Aries.

Anyway, aside the missions, it's great to just fly on a long patrol across the system and hunt the aliens. This is where I feel we have a great potential.

I don't know if it's feasible, it is not my part to jugde, but imagine a War zone with a "dynamic" frontline. The war is going on and different zone become safer or more dangerous depending on how you're doing at the missions + kills on both sides.

In practice I'm thinking about a war zone filled with checkpoints that define the frontlines. Each checkpoint (a beacon) could have an allegiance, protected by either the alliance ships or the vonari. Once one of the sides has been defeated, the beacon changes the owner and the frontline shifts.

Some missions could be designed upon this dynamic war zone, like "conquer/defend the territory" or "combat space patrol" in the conquered space... Those beacons would be a concetration of ships, both capital and fighters.

Anyway... just my thoughts...

part of the design goals of the dynamic server was to do exactly that.

Unfortunately its stalled since I can only program in web-development languages, If at some point a revised 'launcher' app is coded I'd be able to do just that ( and more hopefully)

I like that Idea Kronis, for single player or multiplayer but It will increase the uploading time I think to much and probaly will involve a lot of recoding of the game to make all the objects involved dynamic and keep track of it all!;)

I'm not sure, but if there was you would have a hard time getting there with a class 1 jump drive!;)

I actually have a Falcrum F3. and the rest of my ship isn't so basic. everything i have on that thing is F3 status. just not the best ship:P lol. yah because in the demo there are two other ships you can access if your rank get higher until you get to the forth were it says you need the full game. so that wouldn't quite make sense to me.

I might like the Idea, but I learned that once I up-grade the ship it gave me more players to fight, so maybe not a great idea, but a good one if more input was obtained.
