station linceses?

what do these do? i bought one .. it didin't do anythign so i canceled it *thinking i would get my money back and didn't.

so what do they do?

If you cancel it, couldn't get your money back.

License protects you in hostile space.
Other enemy crafts don't attack you in station, If you have a license.
Also you don't pay any landing fee and can buy products cheaper!

I license is like a piece of ownership in the Station. You do not get your money back when canceling!

It is cheaper to buy licenses in the beginning at Stations that already sell things cheap! Because the more money you have the more the licence fees will be later on in the Game!

I tried in Pearl but they didn't attack me even their guns. Is it variable?

Sometimes if you provoke them while docked or when in process of docking!
