Another thing that would be great would be enabling the use of the right-click to lock the nav point onto stations or jump gates even when they are out of plane (or when zoomed out)... for instance there is a station in Sapphire that is above everything else, and if you want to jump to it it's a real pain to set the nav point to the station hangar because neither the top view nor the rear view screens allow easy zooming in on its sector box.

For some reason I seem to remember that this didn't work like that when I tried it... I would left click on the station when in top view, then again in side view, but when switching to top view again it still wasn't positioned properly. But I could be misremembering, I might have been trying to use the right-click to lock to the station in one or the other of the views. I can test it again next time I'm in the area.
Also, thanks Vice for the explanation of rollover text on the nav map! I am unfortunately deficient in programming knowledge but it's good to know you're planning to implement it. I've been very impressed with your quick updates on the game so far.

LOL!
I too put a waypoint just over the city and roll the map to place the Y just as near.
Upon jump you'll find almost in gravity well of the planet.

place the nav exactly on the city, subtract/add about 1600 from one of the coords and face the right directionOriginally posted by DennyMala
