I wish I'd been around to comment on the last time this was discussed. So I'll put my thoughs there.

I think alot of what people suggested to make the game more fun are fine, but I think it's missing the point.

What I'd like to see, and I think would really add to it, would be undefined warzones. ie not have the war in one place, by have make it a dynamic war. In such a system, over the radio you could receive msgs that conflict has broken out in different places, and the result of the battle, has an effect on the alliances of different sectors. ie make the war winnable, or, make it so it's a constant see saw battle for control of the systems.

In that light, there could be some form of mission system, that feels like a mission. I know it'd be tough to do properly (cutscenes etc rather than the current text info). Maybe a compromise would be radio msgs rather than just text, it would add immersion.

I love the pirate idea, and an idea of having more factions would be cool. Another suggestion would be to remove the coloured boxes around the ships except when locked on, and only those with IFF show up. Then you have the problem of trying to work out who is hostile and who isn't, and there would be repercussions of friendly fire. Reductions in rank/ratings etc, access to stations in a particular sector might be another repercussion. Even without the missions, that would add a great deal to the game, and it'd feel like we are in a war.

One thing that is missing, is the suicidal mission type. I expected when I first went to Vonari it'd be the most dangerous place in the universe, but it turned out to be rather tame compared to say Sierra.

How about in friendly systems, there's spy's, rich rewards if you catch them. lol

My ultiimate wish list is to be able to get out of the ship, n explore a station, or hand to hand fighting lol.. but I don't think that's going to happen. lol.

Being realistic (as far as I know as what's possible), I think dyanamic warzone as described, and removing ID of enemy n mercs would add alot, as would more factions such as Pirates.

I do have to agree about the dynamic warzones and the 'suicidal mission type'.

Agree and I like the tag removal maybe keep it in stations (where the tags are visible to everyone).
To get another ship's tag you will have to either scan it or request identification via radio.:)

Finally something that some people agree on. Me too, I had it in mind.

I still doubt it will go into the game, since I am convinced Vice is going in another direction

Only Vice can tell whether or not this goes in the game. I could see potential problems for the system, but I know he will surely consider it thoroughfully.

I like the idea of dynamic warzones too, maybe make the Vonari a playable race eventually....

Then MAYBE we can have vonari ships and have a Dynamic war and conquer Territories in the NAME of the VONARI or the ALLIANCE!

That's what I suggest happens.... Because in warzones the war just never ends...

Yeh glad you all agree. Yeh that's the main thing I was thinking of. Both MP and single player get boring quick once you've done the quest, and found riftspace. Not much need for trading once u know how to get to Sol.

Another possibility for spying (assuming you could get more than just cargo lists) would be have a tech device that allowed impersonation of another factions ships. Could be used in missions to sneak into enemy held space for different things, rather than just scan cargo. I'd love to be able to pick up info on a planned attack, which would allow both sides to prepare defences etc.

EL is such an awesome game, it just lacks things to do once you've done most of the stuff. I'd like to see the ability to have a team of players in one capital ship. One as pilot, others as gunners etc. Great idea for pirates; Carrier would be a great option for that as it could spew out fighters if needed. lol Nice idea though hard to do for vice, and hard to arrange to get ppl to all play in one ship. lol

Ok, as I start to get complaints of spoilers being posted (not just this thread, others also), please be aware that new players are reading this and just because you may have played the game for weeks or months and know it's secrets doesn't mean new players do. And many of those players want to discover these things on their own. When they come here and read about what's out there for them to find or do before they've found or done it, they may send me some nasty hate mail (or u2u's) about how the game is being ruined for them. Many players enjoy the challenge of finding out the limits and end points to a game on their own and do not appreciate other players telling them all about it in the course of public discussions on a forum. That goes for multiplayer as well, but that is a much less permanent form of accessible information where spoilers are limited to those in the session at the time. Spoilers here are available for all to read for as long as the post is available. So to keep the fire away from my inbox and out of respect for other players, please do not post information about high end/secret locations, items, events, trade runs, or quest endings (good or bad). Please keep those discussions private and provide such information only when asked to. The occasional complaint of a spoiler reveal is no big deal, but when I start to get a rush of angry worded messages over multiple instances of people talking about latter stages of gameplay, it does raise the need to share those concerns. So please don't spoil the game for others and don't turn away new players by posting information about the game that many of them want to discover on their own.

I think I'll post a sticky thread as a reminder to try and reduce soiler risks.

Also, I love how Evochron is one of those games in which you just play a human. Please, no additional races, no playable racese - just humans. Good.

But something as simple as this is great enough. Where wars start and end....
If we loose they get it and the territory marked as Red (On the color map, there blue is alliance *greed is too* and red is vonari, ect...)

Whatabout factions? Richton, Federation...
Can't we join one of them as a mercenary and then later on buy military ships from them?

That would be fun :)
I'd be Fed or Alliance. Allianc mainly, Sol is there :D

Honestly, I'd love to see the civil war between the Alliance and the Federation restarted, even at the cost of the Vonari invasion. Maybe an episode pack?

I didn't see any mission pack or episode pack for Evochron Games.
Am I wrong?

For example, mission pack for Arvoch with some new ships could be nice but too late right now.

Though, new players said something about Renegades and Legends. Same game, what differences between 2 games etc...
It can be little risky,on the other hand...

I fully agree with you Vice but I think that a spoiler warning in the text should be enough. Written in a very visible way such as enclosed in * or bold or coloured.

The forum content is not fully under your responsibility and they should not charge you and send complaints. This is simply childish and silly. (if someone has to take offence in this, feel free to do so, this is what I think of such behaviour).

You don't want help or spoilers?
Just don't read where it is stated that is spoiler or where game dynamics are discussed as there is a high probability that you will get to know something new.

@ Vice: My advice....simply ignore them.

I was thinking, that this is a war on much larger scale. Our wars can last years, why can't a galactic war last much longer? They should go slowly, since both sides have lots of resources to exploit. Recently Vice added a new warzone. That's a pretty neat shift. It seems like right now the Vonari are putting the pressure on us. Maybe that can be slowly adjusted through future updates to produce a shifting war, kindof like getting the latest news from the front.

Also, I agree with Rami. It's realistic that we only see one alien species given the size of the universe... And having additional races opens up a door of 'bonuses' and adjustments and that's not really what this game is about, it's a game of skill.

As for things to do, still thinking about the war suggestion...
Personally, I'd like to see a covert invasion of an inner system.
Maybe in a mission...
'Somehow, a Vonari strike force has entered this system! It is targeting the station. Please reach the waypoint immediately and stave off this threat!' Or something like that.
Maybe it only appears in MP, with several players in the sector, because it'd be a tough mission.
