Is it possible to land on Earth?

I'm telling you pilots, you can't just "land" on earth. I think it has something to do with the "Quest" and how you use some of the things you find.

Thanks for the info, so I will bring three ships, two levathians to hold all the stuff I found and one Predator or Evoch-C to carry all the fancy equipment! That is for next time I visit earth!LOL:P:P:P:P:P

I have been putting off finishing the quest, but I may just see it through to get the secret to landing on Earth.

I don't want to mislead anyone. Just doing the Quest alone is not enough to allow you to land on mother earth.
Finishing the Quest will take you to Earth, but that alone will not let you land there.
Others have finished the Quest and not been able to get past Earth's defensives.
I just think that there is a "secret" to landing on Earth and I just "think" that the secret is in the quest.

There are a couple of things I can think of that I have not tried yet that might make it possible to sneak by Earth's Tight Security Defensives. But I still have to find myself some time to travel the long way to Earth to explore these possibilities!;)

Completing the "Quest" will take you there.
If you don't want to do that, then you'll have to ask someone who has been there for the co-ords.
If you do that, you surely will not get past Earth's defences. You will be able to visit the other planets.

You have the following options available:
1) Follow the Renegades' beacon quest to reach Riftspace, a system that has several wormholes to various places that include the Sol system.
2) Look at the quadrant map to get Sol system coordinates and then do a deep space run to there by leaving from the Evochron system closest to Sol.

How much hours for the solution two?

I do not want to do the quest as i found it stupid.

Are you talking about the Renagades Game or the Legends one?

If it is Legends then which of the two quests do you think holds the secret to landing on earth? The Renagades or the Legends one?

If it is the Renagades Game then I gues your talking about the Renagades quest.

In any event I just came back from earth trying all kinds of different things even try to sneek by with a Stealth Generator, Tried Verbosity's jump techniques, tried minning tractor beam....etc. with no luck!

I know in the Renagades game there is a message at the very last beacon that you suppose to take back to earth with you, and that is the only thing I can think of that I was not sure if you were just suppose to deliver it at Sol Station or litteraly take it to earth which I tried without luck!

Correct me if I'm wrong in Legends the Renagades last beacon with the message to take to earth does not exist since the Renagades Planet where it used to be in orbit was destroyed! So in Legends there is no encrypted message is there?

Also one thing I did not try was a millitary ship with a Tractor/minning beam. I'll try that next time, but I'm loosing all hope on the possibility of landing on earth in Legends as I'm running out of possibilities!:(:(:(

To answer your question, I was referring to the "Legends" quest.
Beyond that, it's anybodies guess.
As I mentioned before, Vice never said "it couldn't be done", nor did he ever say it could and he still hasn't commented one way or another!
He reads every post, so he could clarify this at anytime. It's his silence that suggests it's possible!
I only suggested what I "think" might be the answer. It's possible that landing on Earth can't be done under any circumstances.

Here's a daft solution: Do a reverse thrust approach to earth, then the defence will think that you're leaving instead of trying to land!

LOL:P:P:P, that is a good one. I'll try it next time with a Stealth Generator. Eventhough I already tried stealth generator they still detected me and destroyed me even before the stealth generator was depleted of energy. They must have some cloack detection equipment or the earths atmosphere gives your location away while entering!:P

I've tried it in a ba-zillion different ways in Renegades and a few times in Legends, but by now, personally, I think Earth is not accessible.

Vice has never been of many easter eggs (although he is one of suspiciously crazy random happenstances), except for that pretty massive one during the Evochron Renegades betas.

I think so, because I know Vice would not put in Earth's surface as long as there's nothing there to see. The current engine cannot handle something to approach the density or surface of Earth, and thus I'd like to think he omitted Earth and added the Defense Ring from a story perspective.

That's what I think, though.

The first thing that comes into my mind as I think of the forbidden access to Earth is that is is the only planet we know well.....and it would probably require a hell of a job in building it up to how it is in the game. (or how it could be in the future)

Leavin' it forbinned cut the problem from the start and gives a myth and a place where future happenings can take place safely.
