First day at the game, and I had a real blast playing the game online, lots of friendly faces.
Back on topic , how does a co-operative contract differ from standard military contracts on the mission board? They look the same to me.
Also, I accidentally blundered into a firefight (featuring Eclipse and some Rebels) , which ended rather quickly o.o . And then I got credited 120k for finishing the "contract" , which I'd never taken. What gives?
How do Co-operative contracts really work?

Oh, but I don't recall receiving any notification that I was linked to a contract.

One set gives you civilian reputation and rank credit, the other gives you military rank credit. Each rating/rank carries with it unique benefits. Civilian contracts are offered by local civilian companies. Military missions are offered by the Alliance in war zones (although some peaceful missions are available outside of war zones, they don't provide military rank credit).Back on topic , how does a co-operative contract differ from standard military contracts on the mission board? You were linked in, probably because they accepted it immediately after you entered the sector or you were linked in between waypoints during a patrol. Also, I accidentally blundered into a firefight (featuring Eclipse and some Rebels) , which ended rather quickly o.o . Interesting , so waypoints automatically get added when a co-operative contract is in progress. Are the waypoints visible only in the HUD or on the Local map?

If the contract is a patrol, the next waypoint signal will link you into the contract when it becomes active.Interesting , so waypoints automatically get added when a co-operative contract is in progress.
Both. Are the waypoints visible only in the HUD or on the Local map?

Yes this is real nice, the cooperative missions!, everybody benefits even if you just happened to be in the sector where the cooperative mission or contract is taking place. You can join in the action or just sit and watch and enjoy the fireworks and still get the credits!LOL:P:P:P

Ah, I just noticed the waypoints on the map during a patrol; can't believe I missed them before (they look similar to your NAV markers). Oh well, now I know where the action is during co-operative contracts.
And yes, the method mentioned above is great, particularly the part about watching others blow up the enemy. Eclipse is a real money spinner.
