Is it possible to land on Earth?

Is there something I can do so I will not be regarded as hostile so that I will be able to land on Earth?

earth has a defensive ring around it stopping anyone from landing, In theory it might be possible to bypass this using the planet jump techniques, but no-one has tried yet ( or at least no-one has ever announced that they have tried.........)

the local system is friendly though, and you can fly around on other planets.

Actually, it's still open to question.

I tried to but could not even get close enough to those darn security rings.
Then I tried Fulcrum Torpedo's on the ring after the security system had destroyed me, so much for a friendly system!, but that did not help my reputation much! LOL:P:P:P

I read about someone who got to Earth's surface, but whether he used a jump technique or some other cheat, I'm not sure.

Yes, I heard a rumor like that, but the only person who would know, is the person who invented the planet jump technique, but he is not revealing if he tried it or not, he only states that no one as anounced trying it or anounced a succes landing (Verbosity?) And Vice when asked about it he seems to have a smirky smile about it! So maybe there is a way using the jump technique but I never tried it on earth! LOL:P:P:P

I have made the jump to atmo several times. It can be managed. I have never been able to jump out of atmo, though. For some reason, the max forward shield key doesn't seem to work in the pre-jump phase.

I've shot 30 fulcrum torpedoes at Earth once.

After they did nothing special I left and landed on Pluto, before making a billion or two running guns between mars/jupiter and Sol station, and then going back "home."

Verb did not make it either. As far as I know, no-one has ever managed to find the solution to landing on "Earth", if there is one!
I hate to be a "tease" as well, but if Vice won't comment, and knowing him as well I hope, I think there is a solution.
Personally, [and my opinion is worthless] I think the solution is in completing the "Quest" and has something to do with knowing what to do with the mysterious beacons!
I would not attempt to pit my poor mental acuity against such a devious mind as Vice's.
Since Vice refuses to say, "It can't be done", then I assume it is possible. Perhaps it is the ultimate solution to the "Quest"!
Why would the "Quest" take you to Earth, yet not allow you to land?
Methinks there is mischief afoot!
Anyway, no-one has managed to land on Earth yet, not even Verb!
So, you all still have a chance!:)

This seems like a pretty flaky assumption to stake your life on. I mean, what if you're wrong?

I did try last night to jump into Earth's atmosphere, but never succeeded. I did a run into Jupiter's just to make sure I had the technique down, and was solid with that, but with Earth, there was some unseen issue with jumping straight into the atmosphere.

Oh, and every time you try this and die, you get to hear the little automated defense recording telling your ashes to keep their distance.

I heartily agree Nigel_Strange.
I qualified my opinion as not being of any value.
On the other hand, Vice's reticence on this subject and his record of devious mischief added to the fact that I have known him for almost 6 yrs, suggests to me, that landing on Earth should be possible.
That's just a personal subjective opinion.
