Saitek X52, Track IR Pro. 4.0

used to prefer keyboard only, but not anymore after the X52 came out!;)

I voted for Joystick and Keyboard, even though the X52 is a HOTAS I still use some keyboard commands not related to combat or flight control!;)

I use my old Logitech Sidewinder Precision Pro + keyboard + mouse for clicking and interacting with panels.

No option for all the three so I picked joy+key that is what I use most.

Beside....what is HOTAS?

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick. Gives me 12 buttons to assign immediate battle functions and a HAT. Not much more you need when the shit hits the fan.

Saitek Rumble Force and keyboard ... mouse used for plotting on nav map and initiating autopilot. Hat on joystick set to "slew" mode ... not as many keys on the stick as some of the new models but more than enough for me to remember.

Yesterday, I checked out playing with a stick. Somehow it feels faster, much more crisp and precisly.

Same here. Old tech, but works for me. Buttons get stuck sometimes, so need I need to put the old girl into the shipyard to get the controls loobed.

Yes, scripts are so important for a pilot, you try to press 3 or 4 buttons, your opponent do it with one.

My brand new X52 comes about 2 days later, I am very excited.

I never had a problem with the buttons but the stick doesn't tolerate dust on the ball. Cleaning it with a used sheet of fabric softener works ... but not for very long. I finally just did what I used to do with wetsuit zippers: run the remnants of a bar of soap across it.

today i found old joystick what my girlfriend got as b'dy present along with Harry Potter game

:P:P:P (Not bad at all, 4 axis 8 butons and HAT) ... Well im starting to get used to it. So im using stick and keyboard + mice 4 navigation etc.

X52 looks great and i think is time to send letter to Santa Claus about that

Or maybe irish tax office send me back my tax refunds and problem will be sorted immidiately

I use an older Saiteck Cyborg Evo and keyboard.If Obama ever gets his jetsetting bum back to the Whitehouse and sends out my stimulus check,I'll upgrade to the X52 HOTAS.

i spent some time messing with my x52, but found i burned through fuel *SO* much faster. i need to sit down and get used to it so i can pilot a bit more efficiently. until i have that time, i'm just using the mouse and keyboard for now.. hahaha

I use an X52 also, and I can go prety much any where with 800 units of fuel!
Yes, you have to watch your fuel in this bad economy with rissing fuel costs! LOL:P:P:P
