Inventory Question
So I get a converter at a station and it's in my cargo. How do I install it without jettison or destroying it?

Inventory Question
Hate to say it, but I have another question. I get that my tractor beam sucks in photons which the converter then makes into solid energy, storing it into my fuel tank. Two questions though:
1. How long does it take?
2. Does it work better if I'm near a sun?

Inventory Question
1, depends on your fuel tank... and take anywhere between 5mins-20mins...
2, to me it seems to be the same... a planet's ring is safer and you can AFK... with the sun you can try counter the gravity with your inertial but its still a risk if you leave

Inventory Question
Sorry to ask another question regarding this, but... I left the tractor beam running for a good bit and got nothing. Any ideas as to why?

Inventory Question
Were you just flying through space or were you in a planetary ring or other likely area? I don't believe that it works in empty space.

Inventory Question
I think it only works in some rings not all, and Nebulaes and near suns, and it also depends on your distance to the object! maybe you were not close enough to a dense part of the ring!;)Originally posted by Draakjacht

That can be a problem ... even planets with fuel-type rings will only deliver fuel in the denser areas.Originally posted by Maarschalk:

I was hanging in the dense area, but then later read the manual and it said go for nebulae and stars, so I'll just stick to that.

Yes, but some planets have fuel bearing Nebulae type rings, and the one you were in probably was not!;)Originally posted by Draakjacht
