Dual monitor - mouse moving offscreen
I have a dual monitor setup. When using mouse steering for the ship, I noticed that turning right a lot meant that the mouse pointer would move off to the other monitor, which is to the right of the main display.
This means that when I mouseclick, the game loses focus.

Interesting,
I would actually like to have that problem. I often multi-task while mining or taking pictures and always have to click my Windows button and follow my Taskbar along the edge to get to the second monitor.
Neal.

It only seems to happen while piloting the ship in mouse mode. I note that it doesn't happen where there is an on-screen mouse pointer ingame for example.Originally posted by nschafer

I've just updated my computer and changed the layout of my monitors. Previously my primary monitor was on the left, now it is in the middle with a three monitor setup. Interestingly, the mouse will move out of the game to the left, but not to the right. I can't say why, but it does make some things easier for men.

you can set up the sequence of monitor displays using multiple monitors. If you set them up from left to rigth 1,2,3 then your mouse will move from left display to most right display. If you set them up left to right 3,2,1 then your mouse will move from the most right display to the most left display. I do not know what will happen if you put it like in a 1,3,2 sequence, but my gues would be it would move from most left jump to the most right and then move to the middle display! I have two displays at work for CAD drafting!I think you need to use the 1,2,3 sequence to make it work correct. This does not nescesarely mean the 1 has to be the primary, You just have to make sure the name of the most left monitor is first and the middle one is second and the third one is the most right when you do a identify display in your cards control panel;)

Don't get me wrong, I don't see this as a problem, just noting it as a strange that the mouse will exit the window to the left but not to the right. My monitors are Left #1, Center #2, and right #3. #2 is set as primary. Monitors 1 and 2 are on a single video card while 3 is on a separate card. Having the mouse move out of the game is actually helpful for me since I'm constantly doing screen grabs and updating a web site I'm working on related to the game.
As far as Vista, yes (Ultimate 64 bit). I've been Anti-Vista since it came out, but one of my customers insists on installing it, so I figured I'd better have it installed somewhere I'd actually use it. Having it run in a VM is great except that I never opened the VM. My XP O/S had recently had a problem so I decided to bite the bullet and install it.
So far as Vista goes we don't run it at my office because our primary line of business apps won't run on it. Strangely that app will run in Windows 7.

like from #3 to #2 to #1 to #3 or can you go to the right from #1 to #2 but not to #3? or not right at all?

Maarschalk I think you misunderstood. Outside of EL everything works perfectly normally as you would expect. When in EL normally the mouse is locked into the EL screen and to get the mouse out of the screen I have to ALT-Tab or hit the Windows button and move along the taskbar to get the mouse to move to another monitor. That's how it was in both ER and EL with two monitors (Left primary). With the 3rd monitor setup and the center primary, it still works the same as always when going trying to go to the monitor on the right, but the mouse will move freely between the EL screen and the left monitor.

Dual monitor - mouse moving offscreen
Yeh i have same issue. The main issue is during combat my mouse wanders to second monitor and if i use any mouse button it will activate my web browsing or w/e. Which kills the combat.
Selecting full screen instead of window mode should lock in the mouse cursor. But it's as if all options are only window mode.
Actually im setting up my joystick for this, problem solved.
