I have tried both top ships with shieldC10 in Evochron Legends and callculated the jump point on to the docking bay of a city to 1/400 increments and trying using the pointers from http//starwraith.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4144
I hear the docking sound and the announcement of docking tractor beam engaged, and then the screen of you have been destroyed pops up!, and if i choose to "return to game" I end up at my last save, and if I choose "save" the same thing happens!
I know it was possible to do planet jumping in Renagades, but has any one tried it in Legends successfully? I have been trying for three days to do this in Legends without succes.
Has planet jumping become impossible in Legends?
Or am I missing something else?
If there is something else I'm missing,
please U2U me as to not make this a spoiler, thanks;)

its possible, and to my knowledge the youtube vid I posted was the first ever evidence of planet jumping, untill that point it had been theoretically possible in all the previous evochron games, but never documented, and the vid was done in legends

, though note you can manage a planet-jump without the docking ( but its harder, much harder), similarly you can jump out of a planet without being docked, but its the hardest jump manouver in the game.......

Planet Jumping in EL!
Well, I've successfully jumped to a planet a few times. I think I'll have to write that bit into a story.
However, jumping from a planet atmo seems to be impossible. I don't know why, but when I jump in, I can hold the front shield maximizer and watch the other shields deplete. I take some damage, but not too much. This is jumping into atmo, not right to the dock, which requires more finesse and calculation.
However, when I jump out, it doesn't seem to acknowledge that I'm holding down the front shield maximizer.
Worse, the shield degenerates regardless of speed. As you know, there is a kind of suspensor field around the dock, similar to the gravity field that holds you away from stations. I thought I could use this to impede my speed as I warped out, but my front shield depleted anyway.
So, to my knowledge, there is no way to stop the front shield from disintegrating when I try to warp out of planet atmo, and it is not related to the speed the ship is traveling, because even if you use the landing platform to stop you from moving, it still takes damage, and the key for maximizing front shield doesn't seem to work in that situation for some reason.
So, if you have tips, let me know.
