pilot profiles request

I have one profile and use the pilot profiles save area as a multiple save tool. I'd really like to see a feature with the time and date of the saves, if it isn't alot of trouble.

If you click on a profile a window on the left opens up with the stats for that profile. It gives current Coordinates for that profile, Your ranks your kills, ...etc.!
Maybay a save date could be added here if it is not already there!(I never really checked for a date!);)

I don't remember if there's a Rename option in the game itself, but you can also edit the pilot profile with a text editor and just put the date in the pilot name.

There isn't a rename option that I could see with the save under a new profile feature. There is no date or time.

actually, save under a new profile lets you name the new profile whatever you want, as I recall, so you can just put the date-time-whatever in the new name!

then I need an explanation, because as soon as I try it, it immediately saves it under the same name. Besides, having a date/time doesn't seem like a huge thing to add. If it is there and I'm just stupid, then I apologize.

Are you talking about Evochron Renegades or Legends.

For Renegades there is no rename option under the pilot manager. But still you can check the window that opens up in the left top corner of the pilot manager when you click on a profile to see all information of that profile. There is no date however!

For Legends there is a rename button in the Pilot manager and you could use this to enter a date with the Name of the Profile. For me for example I could name a Profile "Maarschalk 4-13-09" or "Maarschalk41309" or rename it all together to "Allias413";)

I recall asking about this when I first got EL.

As I recall there is an issue with the DarkBasic method of handling files and I dont think is as easy as we think.

And yes, I discovered the 'rename profile' button after I discovered I could edit the profile files.

And for the record, I would still really like to see a date/time displayed with the profile info.

Id also like to see the system name shown not just the coords.. or show the system map so you can do a quick check.

And finally Id love to see more than 8 profile/save slots.. I have lots of disk space Im not using and Id love to fill it with saved profiles.

I think 8 profiles is plenty, some players use this to their advantage in MP to have one profile saved in each system, so when they go online they check were their enymies are and then use the profile they have saved at that system! A good example of this are the Romulans. Some how they always apear at their intended location with out any jumps!lol:P:P:P

It's possible. I'll need to check things like character spacing and the profile template to determine its feasibility.
