Hello, I bought this game a little bit ago, but thought it was high time I should register here and introduce myself

First off I love this game, still learning the ropes and learning combat, pretty tricky, scored a few kills, got a Raven and in the Olympus Prime, need to go and explore once I have got some more funds and more combat experience

Im very fond of these types of games, played quite a few, from the very early elite to the X series. but I do feel that EL is a lot better in many aspects, I enjoyed played Xbtf, X tensions and X2, but I felt that x3 lost it's way, and I stopped playing them after that, another nice thing is combat, its hard and challenging, and boy the AI does like to use misses, and missile ussage is very good, unlike a lot of of games, so I have to admit, Im really starting to enjoy EL, and thanks to Vice for this great game,

yeah I will try and pop in at some point, seems to be several servers which one are you on?

I am also trying to get a friend of mine interested in the game, hopefully he will like it, for me it took a bit of getting into, but I have made a fair bit of money from mining, combat is something I do need to get to grips with, I have scored around 40 kills and slowly increasing, but yeah, VERY good game, and a lot of freedom to it, I gave up on the X series, I loved those games a long time ago, but they are resource hogs, and I felt the later games didn't offer anything new, apart from a lick of paint, they also became very boring, and resource instenive with a large empire, another reason I like EL so much, it runs very nice, no slowdown what so ever, and I like the graphics, I someone that DOESN'T CARE what the graphics look like as long as there is plenty of playability, and EL has plenty of that

so yeah I probably take up your offer sometime, see you out there soon!:)

Our training sessions work for you, there are many good pilots out there. You can see it in the forum once a week.

Generally we are meeting SW server. Waiting for Verb's League...

Welcome Mathew.... which server depends pretty much what you are looking for. Cooperative play n help, is the main server. Some of the other servers that are up sometimes tend to PvP, but not all I'm sure. In main it's rare n usually on request.

As to combat. Good method, is use your thrusters when the rat gets within 1000, and slew to one side or the other on Inertial. That will give you good chance to shoot down the missiles, and avoid his fire, n hammer him. As he slips past, slap on IDS and splatter his lil brain over his windshield. There are other methods... but that's a good place to start.

Main server seems to be used mostly, never seen people in the other ones.
