What happens to your ship in "MP" when you hit the "ESC" Key? Does it disappear or does it continue on it's course? Has anyone tried it with others around to see?

It pauses you in the game's universe and locks you at your current location.

So if I am doing 4k and hit "ESC" what do the other players see my ship do? Does it come to a screeching halt?

I could see times that could actually be useful. Have someone chasing you hit esc they fly by and then rejoin very quickly, now you're behind them. Hmmm. Have to play with that.

You should have kept this strategy to your self cause now if you in front of me and I see you hit the escape button I'll jump a few parsecs back! lol:P:P:P

Hmm, I thought it simply kept you where you are and still visible, but immune to attack. I seem to remember that, to other pilots, your shields went red and small, as though you were about to blow up, but no amount of pounding had any effect. You also don't move at all!!!

Can anybody confirm?

Your description is correct. What they may be referring to is the fact that you stop, allowing your opponent to get in close and be ready to attack you as soon as you rejoin.

Anybody, despite player ER and EL, what does the message "General system Message - new items are available" mean?

I thought that a new bit of all singing all dancing kit was around - like a mantis - but I did not appear to be able to find anything new.

Anybody know? - or course somebody does, but you know what I mean!!!!

It's a notification that the inventories at the local (in-sector) station and planet have changed.

This is a General message from the star system you are in.
It means that some stations and planets in the system aquired new items for sale and which are now available for purchase. It is part of the Star system broadcast updates!;)
