Hello all, a simple question.

Hello everyone. I've been looking for a new space sim for quite some time now. But most of the newer ones never seem to tickle my fancy (like the X series) The most recent one I've enjoyed was the so-so Darkstar One, but this one lacked quite a few things (most glaring one being the lack of multiplay) But it was more action oriented and there wasn't really anything to really explore (altho the giant asteroids with complete factories inside were awesome to wander about in). And to me exploration is a big draw towards space games. The new frontier and all that

Well, yesterday I stumbled uppon this site and read some interesting features that reminded me of my all time favorite space game (altho bug ridden) Elite - first encounters. And ofcourse, the option for multiplay. So my question is, how well does it stack up against that? I would love to see a game again in that vain of gameplay (well, maybe not on combat part tho)

I would love to check for myself, but unfortunatly i let the demo timer run out while I was away for some real life commitments

Hello Arboris, welcome to the forum and the Sim. You can still use the demo by going into the training mode and ignoring the instructor. This lets you do almost everything but go on-line as far as I remember.

That's a tricky thing to pin down an answer for since it's so subjective, but I think you'll find some similarities and a lot of differences in terms of gameplay, flight dynamics, combat options, and objectives. You can get a basic idea of what's available in the demo (see below).

Uninstall the game, then delete the \\sw3dg\\EvochronLegends folder, reinstall and start over. Next time around, you can stay in the training mode as thetiebers suggests to work on learning navigation, docking, landing, and other areas of ship control. Then you can hop into the single player mode when you're ready to try a few contracts, earn some credits, explore, and maybe upgrade a few things.

Thanks for the advice, so far I'm most impressed with the planetairy flight and the ability to create the look of your own spaceship. For such a small installer it sure is an impressive game.

One question before I buy it. How does the paypal method work? You get the email with the activation key send to the email you're using to login at paypal?

Like you I have played many space games and you will find this one to be one of the best. It has something for everyone and I love the fact that you can bring your SP efforts into the MP world and my experience in MP has been better than any of the other space sims I played.
