I have heard mention of RiftSpace [possible spoiler]

It sounds like a nice place to visit.. in fact I feel somewhat compelled to go there.. but Its not showing on my maps.

Any clues?

If you follow the Renegade beacon quest, you will find a gate to rift space. The first beacon is on Sapphire. Rift space has a lot of wormholes that go various places (such as Earth and the Vonari system).

If you don't want to do the Renegade quest, download the strategy guide (it has all the beacon messages). This will save a bit of time.

Ah.. reread the screenshot I took of the EL beacon quest and it mentions following the Renegade beacons.

What are these and where do I find them?

How does a Renegade beacon differ from the EL beacons I have been following?

I just checked the instructions that came with the game but no mention of Renegade beacons.

How do you guys discover/knows such mysteries? We would be lost without the interweb.

The beacons from Renegades are included in Legends. (No need to install anything else). The Renegades strategy guide has the text to these beacons. Finding the gate from the last beacon clue takes some thought (and in my case a gridded drawing program).

Golly.. who would have thought.

Im off on a quest to find the Renegades Strategy guide now.. (one quest after another) :-)

Suggestion for the powers that be: Make this just as fun to play without relying on the forums.. just a little mention in the html instructions of RiftSpace or Renegade beacons (where they are and where to find the first)

I have been scouring the Renegades site and found no mention of a Strategy guide.. tried searching the forums but rather hit and miss (more miss than hit).. so once again this forum and such friendly people as yourself have saved me.

The gate to Riftspace is in the middle of nowhere, 70 mantis jumps from the nearest system. Untold riches or certain doom can await you ...

Make sure you fill up your tank and use the restroom before embarking.

You have to go there, actually, if you want to finish EL, have to find renegade beacons.

70 mantis jumps.. I think I did about 30 before running out of fuel.. looks like I need to prepare carefully before embarking on this expedition.

I ran out of fuel once descending to a hidden planet I was looking for (specifically, the one in Cerulean). I made it to the ground just as 2 reds appeared to finish the job the crash didn't complete. Lol.

Approximately 700 units of fuel from the nearest system. Use inertial and alt-F2 to to get there.

Might as well plan on a minimum of 1200 units of fuel...the more the better, Lot's of hostiles in the area and a few more surprises once you go through Gate. Forewarned is Forearmed

Anyone care to u2u me the exact co-ords as I would like to finish this beacon quest.
