Clan Members on Nav Map?

Hey everyone

My buddy and I are playing MP together in the same Clan and we were wondering if there is a way to have your clan members displayed on the Nav Map. For all I know it's not possible but a little help on keeping track of each other through the nav map would be great

Currently, you have a couple options. First, hold the tilde (~) key during gameplay. The sector coordinates for each player will be displayed next to their name. You can then travel to the same sector to meet up with them. Second, to narrow down the coordinates even more specifically in-sector, have the clan member you're trying to locate use the 'Trans Pos' (short for Transmit Position) button on the nav map. You'll then see the exact coordinates they are located at, click near that point on the map and you can meet up with them.

alright thanks guys. Yeah i had found those options but was just wondering if there was anything else I could do. Also I had been wondering if there was a way for the coordinates that a clan member would transmit could be automatically log into the nav map as a nav point or something but I guess not. Thanks for you responses!

Hello berighteous , A Clan can be a group united by a common interest or common characteristics. Here it pilots grouped together for fun and games using a clan title before their callsigns such as [DW]49rTbird and other clans such as [SW]starwolves, [BA]bad aliens, [NS] new school, ETC.

As a follow up to this post, I've added the capability for clan member locations to be displayed on the nav map for the next update. If you are in the same sector as fellow clan members, the other ships will appear as green dots on the nav map, so you can get an idea of their location and quickly click a nav point to the area they are in to join them. It will work for both clan members and clan members you link to with the clan link option. To update the nav map for the latest location information, click on the 'Ping' button which will resend a sensor pulse to get the latest ship locations. Works really well, just finished testing it in multiplayer.

It will be in the next test build.

That's awesome news Vice and I'm sure that addition will be welcomed by anyone who's playing in a clan. Just out of curiosity, do you have a timeline at all for when the next update might become available? I have to say that your support and everything for this game is top notch. Keep up the great work!

It should be official within about 2 weeks. Still a few things left to do and more testing I need to finish before it becomes an official update.
