Looking for Stealth Generator [Spoiler]

Hey Everyone,

I'm in Sol looking for a Stealth Generator, can one be found here, or is Lost Rucker the only place you can get it?

Stealth Generators can be found in a number of locations. They're usually located away from the primary systems.

That's what I thought when I came to Sol, I haven't been able to find one. If one can be found here, then I'll stick around.

Sol has the wrong type of economy for the stealth generator.
But since you already labeled this a spoiler thread:

There is a bunch of hidden planets, all with a level 30 Tech-type economy - those sell the generators (for about 27 Million Credits each). I've got mine from the one in Aries. There's at least two other ones.

The generator kills your shields upon activation and runs on your gun/jumpdrive energy bank; once that is depleted, you drop out of stealth. Just to spare you the disappointment of waking up naked and outgunned next to a capship.

I don't know if I want one seeing I have to give up one of the equipment slots which have all important items.

So what would one give up to slot the stealth generator in?

How long are you in stealth before your energy runs out? Is it even practical to have one? I hope it's more than just a novelty.

Anyone out there having success with the Stealth Generator, I'm trying to find out if it's worth the investment, and are there real benefits to owning one?

there can be,

1. allowing you to travel in safety through dangerous areas
2. if you wish to stealth on a regular basis its cheaper than several stealth field devices
3. it can be useful for some contracts, and if used carefully for PvP

In the end its really up to you and your flight style if its worth it, I have one and use it on occasion,

I am having Great Success with it from a fighters point of view...Works great when sneaking in for a quick kill

. I have also used it with great success in using civilian ships....I use 5 cargo bays and use one of the cargo bays to place the equipment that I would need for later use.....Like all of the fun new toys in legends practice makes perfect.

Thanks BraveHart, I didn't even think about using one of my storage bays for my extra equipment. I'm still trying to find a stealth generator, can you u2u me with some locations and coordinates?

Price changes pretty significantly on generators. first one I saw was 17 Mil, second was 25 and just saw it price at 29 and change

Does anyone know how to squeeze more time out of your stealth generator, It seems to drain down within a minute? Not really enough time to sight see in a hostile system.

Boosting power to your main energy system should give you a little added time. Otherwise, it's important to distance yourself from threats as you travel to give your systems time to recharge for another stealth.
