Well after being inspired by Warsign's efforts, I thought I'd love to have a go at integrating the Battlestar Galactica DRADIS console into EL. I found a screengrab of the Galactica DRADIS system from a scene in the new series, and thought it would be kind of exciting to mould it into EL's cockpit...
Screen Capture of DRADIS Console from newly imagined Battlestar Galactica series
Evochron Viper Mk II
Evochron Raptor
So here are the files... you can download them and unzip them into your /hud directory.. these files aren't a total cockpit, just custom console screens, NAV compass, gunsights and some warning messages..
P.S. Warsign, you may notice that I sort of superimposed the DRADIS system over the top of your main cockpit radar, it was ideal to get a decent circle to enclose the spinning globe.. I hope you don't mind.
Excellent! Has anyone thought about doing a BSG Raptor cockpit? If you have looked closely, the Raptor cockpit also has three main screens which would cater very nicely to a mod for EL.

Very nice Spelk, gave it a try, really captures BSG's DRADIS theme nicely. The only problem I've had so far, is the MDTS and HUD alert icons, they're still default for me. The main panels are fine, so perhaps it's the file names?
I think they're meant to be *.bmp's, but photobucket.com doesn't let me put up bitmaps.. once I get myself sorted I'll get them into a ZIP file as the proper images.. in the meantime you could download them and covert them to bitmaps..
I've removed the Photobucket.com links to the image files, since the majority of them were meant to be bitmaps and photobucket.com won't host bitmaps. I've moved the DOWNLOAD link into the first post, also.
I've tidied the BSG DRADIS HUD up a little, clipping the target panel better, fiddled slightly with the target sights, and have added a NAV Compass panel. Obviously the compass panel currently has a Viper Mk II showing in the display, but I'll make a version of it with a Raptor in it, if I can get images for the Raptor.

Can you please explain carefully in Simple Stupid terms what I have to do to get these downloaded files to work - because "just unzip into the hud folder" doesn't do anything and all graphics are default versions. Many thanx.
THE GUNSLINGER WASN\'T ILL - HE JUST DIED OF A CASE OF \'SLOW\'.
its etxracting to a folder called DRADIS , copy all the files from there to the hud folder ( if you extracted to the hud folder you'll find the dradis folder in there)

Ah ok, I see the problem, sorry I zipped them up in a rush this morning on my way out to work.. I've tinkered with the zip files, so that the 'hud' directory is included in the zip and not the holding directory 'hud_dradis_viper' or 'hud_dradis_raptor'. Sorry about that.
I spent some time this evening reworking Spelk's wonderfully made BSG Raptor Hud to work with Warsign's Raptor cockpit.
I changed the colors to a softer blue, which is better suited to the cockpit. I also realigned the mfd's using the gauges file, and did a little touch-up work on the compass (drew in a pointer for the compass and fixed the transparencies a little).
I did retain a few elements of the HUD warsign used for his original cockpit, such as the gun sight.
If I get enough requests, I'll host the files somewhere so that you can download them. For now, here's a pic:
All credit goes to Warsign and Spelk for their work. Great job, guys.
