Wish List....

If not, here are a few:

1) enable jettisoning of individual bits of cargo not all or nothing

2) when a spaceship blows up, send its cargo off in multiple random directions so we have the thrill of the case trying to catch them as they race off in opposite directions

3) Provide hover over hints explaining how to use things like probes.. I just trashed one by clicking on it to see what it did!

4) prompt with an 'Are you sure' message when clicking on to trash some cargo.

5) Provide a 'Load' option on the 'Esc' menu so I can load my last saved game without having to crash to get to load my last saved game. Sometimes you just press the wrong button and want to go back and try it again.

6) When ship-building, show ALL stats for the items so we can compare wings without relying on a fuzzy description 'this can be better some higher classes of wing' - which class? how much better? Just a number rating (dont need bar graphs but they are nice).

PS I love the way my ship evolves as I upgrade instead of a completely new ship.. great work on the ship building.

Thanks

Not sure exactly where to post this, but since this is a wish list topic:

How easy would it be to implement the ability to right click on user-entered map logs from the navigation screen? Most of the time I know what I am going for and would like to be able to simply right-click to set the waypoint at my map log location instead of having to go into the map log itself.

Ignoring things that aren't likely to change (like the speed cap), the one thing I'd really like to see improved is the nav map. I'm new to this game series with Legends, and everything else in the game looks extremely impressive for an indie game.... but that nav map is a very clumsy, non-intuitive design (IMO). It doesn't look as polished as the rest of the game.

For example, there's another thread here where someone posted about wanting to drag the map with the cursor, to center your ship on the screen, or see beyond the edge of the map at the current zoo level. That's a natural impulse for Windows users; it's an expected UI convention by now, to be able to click-hold-drag, or hold down a key (like spacebar in Photoshop) to pan a display. The workaround of right-clicking on a zoomed-out view to "pan" to a different area is a clumsy workaround for just dragging a seamless, zoom-able map.

I think a better, more seamless map that wasn't broken up into small chunks would make it easier for people to get oriented and enjoy the game. It's really the only continuing frustration I have, as a newcomer to the game series.

The quasi-3D view could be improved too. Instead of jumping from one top-down look to a "rear" view to see the vertical axis, how about letting the user hold down a key or mouse button and drag the mouse for both vertical tilt and rotation of the map? Or at least vertical tilt, so we don't have to jump back and forth between discrete screen views.

As a side note, it would also help if the Nav map would scale larger on higher-res displays. It's not that easy to see on a 1600x1200 display. The same goes for the cockpit displays, the text is tiny on higher res (unless you're running a big projection screen or plasma monitor). So I guess that's actually two wish list items after all. :)

Hey Vice,

My wife and I would appreciate it if the sound could turn off when one hits "Q" to pause.

Thanks

Vice..I know you've got your hands very full..and the next update sounds awesome!

But..Since this is a wish list.......

Sometime down the road could we get an expansion in the warzone? Like more missions once you get good with the military. Something like...mine the enemies gate access(jettison mine from cargo), scout enemy starbase(for those with cloaks), disrupt enemy mining operation by destroying miners(in a asteroid field in their system), and so on...

I was thinking enemy sectors with friendly carriers under almost constant attack as our staging bases could make for a little more player involvement.

As far as I know, it will be hard to reach the Vonari strongholds and mining fields. On top of that, the Vonari do not employ gates (they've been using wormholes and a propulsion similar to the Fulcrum Drive, apparently). However, dropping mines sounds kind of fun to me, and rank-based missions is an awesome idea to focus on the progression! :)

Yeah... that was me... but as I understand it from how it was explained to me is that this is a limitation of how the game's engineering... and there are a sort-of work around if you refer to that post...

However I second this wish...
