[spoiler alert] Unidentified object

Can anyone tell me what this object is?

I have turned the text on, on the nav map but yellow on yellow is a bit hard to read:

Its in Rucker near the sun.. or is that text the text for the sun?

Is this possibly a receiver someone mentioned?

That's the location of the asteroid belt... actually... there's really nothing to it other than that. And the object in your hud is a beacon

Ah.. righto.. one finds the strangest things out there sometimes.

Maybe I should try and find that guys brother to understand what this is all about.
