Tractor Beam

Does the tractor beam come standard on your space craft or do you have to buy it? Does it have a different name?
I never see it to buy and my B button does do a thing?;)

You have to purchase it. Shouldn't be too hard to find, and it's pretty cheap.

It's called Mining/Tractor Beam, and you should be able to pick one up in the sapphire system for below 10.000 credits.

Station inventory is semi-randomized. You can get a Mining/Tractor Beam potentially everywhere, but it's randomly determined if one is actually for sale.

If you're in a particular hurry, save at a station and self-destruct repeatedly until there is a Mining/Tractor Beam available (the station inventory will be reset each time you reload).

That depends entirely on your mode of self-termination...

SK, When I started playing Legends a few days ago it took me a good half hour of jumping from station to station to find a tractor beam. Whether or not any particular station has it is purely chance, and in my case chance had it that the stations I was jumping to didn't have one. I've heard similar stories... just keep looking! If you still can't find one, I'd be happy to jump in MP and buy one and trade you for it (you can have it for free...), as would probably almost anyone else. Just keep looking a little longer

Ah. Thanks. I was wondering the same thing. I thought the tractor beam seemed basic enough it would have been almost anywhere. I guess not.

Same experience here. I stopped at about a dozen places before I found my tractor beam.

The best luck I had finding mining/tractor beams was jumping to stations in astroid fields and nebulaes and close to stars or planets where you would most likely use one!;)

Sapphire has a extremely high chance of them popping up either in the station or at the planet.
