Best Ship Set-up
When customizing your ship what is the best engine and weapon set-up?;)

Well, at least the weapons are easy: A Banshee Cannon, a Fusion Laser and whatever your taste in missiles is.
As for the engines...that depends on your overall ship setup. Heavier frames are more durable, but tend to be slow and have massive fuel consumption.
If you intend on fighting, you might consider getting a military frame, as they come with maxed out engines. When building your own, I'd gun for an engine that delivers a speed of at least 850; 900+ when using a light or medium frame like the striker or phoenix. But that's me, I fly an Evoch-C (1200 top speed) so you can tell I'm hooked on speed.
Experiment a bit. Since exchangeing components doesn't cost money anymore, you're free to experiment.

Best Ship Set-up
I agree with the laser, but the cannons have a yield/power ratio. Personally, I use a class 12, 13 or 14 gun.
