Congrats on game & new items question

Had most enjoyable weekend completing Andromeda quest, playing military missions and trying the construction stations.
Thanks for the awesome game!

I just want to check what items I'm missing;

Picked up the ol' mantis drive from the vonari research station so have a pretty similar, mantis, fusion laser, banshee canon setup to Renegades. But notice from carriers there are probably more items available then my current ensign rank allows me to see.
I'm wandering if the other stealth system (havent seen it anywhere yet) and other weapon systems only become available with military rank or whether there are civilian stations to get such goodies from?

And if so whats a rough idea of what I expect to be able to unlock/find as far as drives and weapon systems go?

if you have a mantis, you can probably get almost anything already

stealth drives are hard to find, you need to find an economy 30 planet, and they are well hidden, if you want to cheat PM me and I'll tell you where the nearest one to you is.

keep a look out for the new missile type, they are easy to get a hold of and have some nice effects, and there are also mines - they are as powerful as the FT and about twice as dangerous!

So thats the new advertised Stealth Drive out there somewhere, some new missiles & mines. Any new laser's/ canon's?

Does this mean the equipment ID's have changed? I did notice some oddness with the universedata file no longer reflecting container types and things very accurately but some numbers matched, didnt find anything over 79 though.

I dunno if you remember but in Renegades in the Pearl system there were the three containers where you could make some fast cash selling the old style stealth from. In Legends containers still there but different contents but my universe data file says they should be the same thing. Guessing there is more going on with that now. I had theorized that this would be a good way to find new items but it doesnt seem to work like that anymore! I'm probably being bad/cheating doing that anyway eh?

Legends has a limit on what will be in containers, no more stealth containers, or any other exploits like that, its all done in-game.

HeHe universe pillagers eh? at least I had an excuse - though I now have a searchable database of ( almost ) everything in the game - vice likes to hide some stufs the in game code

Thanks Verbosity, that explains what I'm seeing with the containers and universe file.

I kinda think of the universe file as a hitchhikers guide/old commanders logbook type deelio. I had made a guide book with Renegades too.

I still get the impression If I am docked on a carrier that there is more available than I am seeing, I will see one or two missile types and they will have blank spaces above them to suggest there is something else in the list I cant see, either that or its a case of the ol' adage about assumptions.

i think its just the way it works with the carriers, selling missiles from them was a late addition, to the empty spaces are probably where the game code goes " commodity, oops not for carriers. equipment, oops not for carriers )

Bring the big bag of cash...those things don't come cheap. Actually, they're the single most expensive commodity in Legends...
