Not much so far, but I think we should collect them somewhere...
I need to experiment with those stations a bit more, but here's what I got so far...

2 Metal Alloys -> 1 Armor Plate
25 Platinum -> 1 Long Range Probe
15(?) Electrical Units -> C3 Cargo Scanner

25 Diamonds -> Not processable
25 Biological Units -> Not processable

I assume there is more; if anybody wants to contribute, you're welcome.

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe.
If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

There's a LOT more. Good luck on searching for them, I have a full list of what I've found till now. Let me just say that there are some new commodities that craft rather well :).

You can find Construction Stations to take your raw materials to. They offer you items in trade.

The most nearby one is in Erato. From Sapphire, take the Erato gate - the station near the asteroid field is an Constructor Station.

Okay. After spending the entire evening shuttling stuff to and from the constructor stations, here's the gist of it:

Constructors are a pretty straightforward affair - you fly in, the station checks your cargo bays and tells you what it can manufacture from the contents. There don't seem to by any "mixed" recipes, so basically it just converts one commodity into another.

The result of some conversions varies with the amount of material provided. 25 Units will net you the top-of-the-line model of a certain device, with lower amounts yielding the lower-class models.

If there are 5 different classes for example, the distribution is as following:
05-09 Units - Class 1
10-14 Units - Class 2
15-19 Units - Class 3
20-24 Units - Class 4
25-25 Units - Class 5

Several items aren't triggered until you show up with exactly 25 units of a certain commodity.

Without further ado, here's the (hopefully complete) list:

Food -> can't be converted.
Meds -> can't be converted.
Hydr -> Shield Booster
Elec -> Cargo Scanner
Solr -> can't be converted.
Metl -> Armour Plating (1 Armr per 2 Metl)
Diam -> can't be converted.
Anti -> Fuel Converter (requires 25 units)
Fusn -> Fulcrum Drive
Mech -> Repair System
Text -> can't be converted.
Plat - > Long Range Probe (requires 25 units)
Biol -> can't be converted.
Oxyg -> can't be converted.
Gold -> can't be converted.
Silv -> can't be converted.
Watr -> can't be converted.
Armr -> can't be converted.

If anybody finds something else, please U2U me immediately.

Its a shame there are so few recipes (at least from what I see) Having brought a full stack of 25 of each resource through a few trips. The worst result being a stack of platinum (at the station I'm in right now) sells for 33k and is made into a 1.5k probe?

I fully regret both the 1.3m price and the trip through hostile space to get the constructor device to build the constructor station. To turn my resources into garbage.
