Money Making for Advanced Miner ***Might be a Spoiler***

Most of you who's been playin' this game for a while know that there are an extreme ammount of things to both find, see and do, now one of the things I have found is one of the most efficient ways to get the Leviathan and that in less then 90 min... think I used 70, add a few due to hostiels that appeared in the ares, now to use the least time you should go to Al's Quay and then to the Pearl system, from pearl open up your jump menu and look at it, look for what seems like a oval rock and jump there, (not able to give the cord's since Im not at the game comp wile writing this, will give them once I am though) now if you end up in an asteroid field with this GIGANTIC asteroid with a tunnel into it you hit the right area, now simply pick an asteroid and start mining, once your cargo hold if ful jump back to the pearl system, HOWEVER, do not dock and sell it at pearl, now zoom out again and you should see a nearby planet called Oasis, you will be able to sell the ore at that station for over 1 MILL per 25t from the asteroid field, and that is when the prics are at it's lowest, ive acually been abe to sell it for over 2 mill at one ocation, so if you have a full C5 cargo bay that is anything between 5+ to 10+ mill in one single go, now if that aint making it big fast then by all means tell me what is

65 mil per run, from a secret location in the lost rucker area to any station in lost rucker, you can make a bil in about an hour...........

I was rather fond of shipping cheap fuel converters from Sapphire to the hidden planet in the Cerulean system. Around 35 millions per trip. Admittingly, this is small change compared to the amount of money that can be made in Lost Rucker.

Been trying to get back to lost, and I din't know u could make that much that fast.... kinda got distracted and tried to jump while facing the asteroid.....

Even better, consider Lost Rucker a bit of an exploit. I think you did well to find that trade run - I've been using that during my early days as well. Still find it far more pleasurable to actually find things that are good money earners within what I consider to be reasonable. The profits through things like Blackthorne and you've discovered might seem pocket money, but honestly, it keeps the game more fun.

One of the reasons I am still against player-contributed additions to the base universe - they're usually built for exploits and with too high a economy value.

I assume EV:L will start with a completely new setting then, or are the systems reused between the games in one series?

I partly agree with Rami, though even the original Evohron had that particular 'exploit' though it has been placed in easier and easier locations each time. Beyond that the science officer makes it much much easier to spot them.........

( It took me months and months to find the exploit in Evochron, whereas I found the LR crate in a couple of hours....)

Found out something interesting here today, if you play on 1 profile then start a new one after saving and quitting the jump map will show the ocation of all your saved shortcuts until you make new ones, that's how I realised that the Lost Rucker Jumpgate migrated across the asteroid field since I had it saved on my other char's jump map as a shortcut

Indeed although I find it more profitable to buy Fulcs in Rift Space and selling them in Lost Rucker

well when looking on the nav map it's on the left side of the sector, on and from top to bottom it's in the middle

Here is a clue for you Zenethian: From the center station of the Rucker system jump two sectors to the right and search on the East side of the second sector....the hidden gate will show up as a purple blip on your radar when you are less then 10000 away from it.

Okay - I've gone to Lost Rucker.

Found good place(s) to mine for Platinum (this is not a "secret location"? (within Lost Rucker)).

But I have been to all four of the stations in Lost Rucker. Platinum sells for fairly typical values / profits (2-3 million per run); not "65 mil per run".

Either I am missing something, or this has been changed post- build 1.978 (in the two test builds for 1.988).

Please confirm, or explain what I am missing?

The thread is about mining. PROBABLY this means Platinum.

Since it was said "65 mil PER RUN to ANY station in Lost Rucker", it can be assumed that it doesn't matter where you got it (the platinum) from.

You said "be prepared".

So probably this means market fluctuations.

But the poster I was referring to also said "you can make a billion in about an hour". These market fluctuations don't seem to last long enough to extend through an hour of game playing, and he said "65 million PER RUN".

It isn't. All exploits like the above have been removed or replaced with less lucrative items - glad about that, too.

yeah I'm down to a 19.5 million per run run, though its still pretty quick ( I can do a run in under a minute )
