DS9 will be serving free refreshments inside the pavillion on concourse "D". Food & beverages for all the Races will be served. Including cold "GormL'eit" for Klingons. A rare treat indeed! There will be "Cklmoos" for the Terrasins and "Fried Chicken & Watermelons" for the BA clan, and of course, "Hot Cocolat" for "X", and "Miller Lite" beer for everyone!

Shame my grandson (who is 9) is here. Still, might let him have a pop at X or even Vice. You never know, he may get a lucky shot - and shoot my granson down!

I will try and be there, I am taking my daughter to the airport and may not be back in time. I do not get to see her often so that is the reason for my lack of appearances on line this week.

Excellent Battle indeed

......Lots of fighting and Excellent Team work...He-He, I believe [SW]Clan came away with the most kills, but I was not able to keep track of each kill as the fighting was pretty intense....But I loved it and everyone did an Excellent job of fighting

Thanks to all who showed up!!....I will plan more MP times in the future

Sorry to have missed you Verb

..... I will be back on later, but most times the MP event only last for 1 hour, sometimes 2 hours ( it usually breaks up around that time limit with Pilots having to get back to some RL events). I will plan more future MP and look forward to seeing you there.

Was a bit late sorry. Had the granson and had to watch Spiderman 3!!

However I did join at about 1030 when I met Shewter, Eclipse and Mr X in Pearl.

I felt a bit sorry for Mr X as there it was us three against him. I said I felt sorry for him, but only for about 3 millisseconds!. Anyway Mr X got 3 (I think) lucky shots, but I did manage to take him out once, then he went home.

Great respect for the ex X clan leader (now he is BA). A great 30 minutes - thanks guys.

I will be on tonight sometime, but it is my birthday so go easy on me!!

The last few days have been very quiet on the server.
Suprisingly tho', there have been many new players visiting, but do not stay long and keep missing each other.
I often welcome new players when I hear them sign on, but apparently a "talking server" seems to 'spook' them and they quit.
Oh well....

I have met some nice people in MP especially Gorf who let me practice PvP with him on a few occasions. I also got to fight Delta5 and Pingbosun which was good fun as well.

I note that most place a running total of PvP action in the sig box so I shall follow that example.

Look forward to seeing new people in the future.

judging by the date of the last post I will venture a guess and say that this thread acually get some visitors, I have a little question concerning reputation... see I have found this quaint little asteroid field that gives only platinum and have been netting enough money by selling it that I now have the leviathan and some quite high level weapons and sutch, however I enjoy mining but the problem is that I somehow managed to get 3 of the 5 factions below 50% reputation in that area making mining nearly impossible, so I decided that a few missions were in order to remeby the situation, well as I started doing mission I managed to max Energy and get Miners up from 70 to 73, then I maxed Navy, however when I did Rebels and Guild immidietly fell to 41 and 45, and when I tried to raise them I did this 1 mission that got Guild to 45 and Rebels to 55, but sent Navy down to 78....

Ok I guess your really tierd listening to all this to I'll cut to the case, Is it possible to get all reputations up to over 75 in an area so tat you don't have to worry bout hostiles, if possible tips on how would be appreciated...

P.S

I guess I could have made an own thread for this but chanses are that thread wouldn't see many visitors in a while, so why not just post this to my fellow Evechron pilots, who also happen to be Veterans while im just a rookie

You cannot please all the factions all of the time. To increase your rep only do contracts for Navy, Energy and Miners. If you get those three in the 90% + area your rep should go up.

Some systems will allow you to take your rep all the way to GOOD, however you will find a FAIR rep is enough to keep most off your back. The down side is a GOOD rep leads to no combat contracts and lower pay offs.

There is a certain progression. System reputation starts out as one of the following:

Hostile (almost everybody hates your guts)
\\/
Moderate
\\/
Fair
\\/
Good (at this level hostilities cease, along with the kill missions)

In order to move up the ladder, you need to get 3 reputations of your choice up to 100% by doing missions for them. Once you reach Good, the System is safe (and IMHO boring).

Buying a station as a starting point is a good idea, since you'll need fuel and repairs pretty often, along with fresh missiles (in case you're not packing Excaliburs).

Welcome aboard Lunaraia.....In Single Player (SP) you can get a system reputation of good by doing a lot of missions for the Navy, Miners and Energy. Working contracts for the Guild and Rebels will reverse your reputation in that system........However, in Multiplayer (MP) online the systems will stay in the default mode and will not change.

The Cool part about MP is: you can u2u a pilot to meet you online or use ICQ to contact a Pilot to meet you online to help provide protection for you while you mine (or post it in the multiplayer thread )....using the buddy system online is a real Hoot....and you can even team up to do contracts that involves shooting down Hostiles together and make some good cash and have a Blast at the same time.....
