WOW! this game just keeps getting better and better, i'm really liking the ability to switch from IDS to INERTIAL, that's an awsome control. in my humble opinion the is better then ELITE.
I think this genra has matured to the best it's probably going to get. Unfortunetly there's just not that big of a demand for this type of game anymore. But that just makes it even better for old spacesim diehards like us!
I do have a quiestion for vice though, Sir: do you plan on doing an expansion to this game? I'm sure everybody would love to see one, I know I would!

I know this has already been done but maybe have a war with a new species or even a civilwar I could have some basic
ideas on the civilwar stuff....

Vice is just getting warmed up. This game is a constant work in progress and just keeps getting better all the time.

Check out the update forum and suggest any ideas you have for improving the game! Vice reads them and considers all the discussion when thinking of how to improve the game. It truly is the best freeform space game I've come across in a long time!

I think that this would be a real positive expansion to the game, however in the meantime there are war's going on between the Clans, Klingons, Terasins and AKF. Those involved in these conflicts are certainly doing their best to make life interesting in Evochron. If a new AI threat should appear and I hope it does, things would get even better. But IMHO this is about as good as it gets, thanks to Vice and all those that contribute to the development of this game.:P;)

I would be honestly put off by a new alien species. Not even just a little, but massively.

In my opinion, it would take the games away from their relatively realistic approach to the future into the realms of fantasy, where things like Star Trek or Star Wars should be, and where Star Wraith should stay out of. These games shouldn't be beefed up with 260.000 alien species - the Vonari are elusive enough to keep me interested in them for now - it's just that we haven't had a proper triangle-war in a while.

If there ever was an expansion, I'd love to see the Federation and Alliance back in a new civil war, and the Vonari scheduling their attack after the Alliance weakens the Federation.

Knowing Vice, someday in the future, we'll look back at Evochron Renegades and say - 'that we thought that was as good as it gets, Vice did it again!'. For now, this is pretty close to perfect for me.

HAH! the word, "perfect" is not in Vice's lexicon! There is no "perfect. There is, however, "as good as it gets" for today only!
Tomorrow doesn't count. Actually, the only thing holding Vice back is the current limit of "Earth" technology.
Once our technology catches up to his skill, then we will really have something to be proud to be part of.
Oops, never end a sentence with a preposition.
We will be proud to be a part of his mastery of the new tecnology.
