Its been a long while since I have been here, I bought evo way back but I also spend alot of time learning to program and such things. I have also been believe it or not messing around with amiga emulation.

I played evochron in the past and did enjoy it, the graphics are also very nice but I am not very good at it.

When I did play I found the easiest best way for me to make cash was mining a planets surface. I havent really seen much of the game(evo) but I have been playing elite 2 frontier and I want to get back into evochron. Im kinda thinking now would be a good time since I notice there are servers in multiplayer and from reading the forums well there seems to be quite a good few experianced pilots out there! I actually like to solo and would like to find a slightly faster way of making money but it would be better if I was on a server I think. With all this in mind, which is the best most active server these days?

I also noticed that at the start of the game there is a narrated piece which mentions a bit about the game and I honestly cant remember that being there when I first played? Maybe Im mistaken but either way its a good touch. Im just curious as to what else has changed and what the multiplayer rules are now? I am currently using windows vista and the game seems to work but I have yet to try things for a while in game but great so far!

Another thing I noticed is people mentioning about fleets? Is this a new addition?? I cant remember fleets being an option? Maybe Im wrong though.

Its good to see the community thriving, I may not be on much but I do read about this game from time to time owing to the fact I just like to see indie developers to well. (Another reason is I am always spending time learning programming of one form or another + I jump from game to game and have been doing alot of retro gaming )

Looking at the forums and seeing that the game is still getting worked on is really good though! I also know I have seen nothing of the game, you see I like the idea of being a pirate but I need more practice with my piloting, I also have a microsoft optical mouse so I plan to just use that as opposed to my saitek joystick.

Im away to see if I can find some guides Its cool everyone is doing well and the community from what Ive seen comming back tonight is still flame free.

When it's back online, the SW Clan server saw a lot of action. I've been running an interim server 'Evoch Global' in the meantime until its back, but only for part of the day. Eclipse has also been running a server from time to time. This game is also not server dependent, so if you configure your connection for hosting, you can simply start up a session any time you want to play from within the game, then other players can join your session just as they would a server.

Welcome Back Argent777 .......Working together on contracts in MP is a great way to earn more money and hone your fighting skills........or knock off the Rust . I'm not sure what version you have or where you left off at but there is a couple of new systems in the Game: 1. Wolf Zone and 2. the Lost Rucker System....both have great ways to increase your wealth....especially in the Lost Rucker System. So if you haven't already download the new version do so now.....(just as [DW]49rTbird recommended). The beginning Intro is your first clue for the beacon quest and is excellent fun to do. There are also new enemies to contend with in MP: Klingons (haha) and the new (alien)terasin empire (bad dudes) Human generated MP fun. I look forward to seeing you on MP....

If I get the info right, there is a TS-Server around, so comunication is as easy as 1,2,3:D

Cool , yeah I think I pretty much started playing evochron not long after release, I only played a little while and actually looking at it all gave me incentive to try and get into some of the more tricky programming that I had been putting off. I ended up spending months there reading seriously about directx and also doing alot of guides on OSDev and went and bought the indispensable PC hardware book. Some of it is bad on the brain lol but well with going through a fair bit I need to chill for a bit hehe.

I havent seen much of the game though I think I only managed to buy maybe 1 or 2 ships. Some cool avators BTW . Im from the UK, my timezone is GMT, so its actually 1.30am at the minute but I will pop on tommorow although I reckon I will be like a cow with a gun . Would have been on the other day but I ended up getting talked into having a drink and drinking navy rum lol, NEVER again! I mean this!!
