I have been reading this forum and learning alot....And have a few questions based on what people have been talking about:
1) Can you jump to coordinates in a planet? Or from inside a planet with out getting fried?
2) Does technology exist that that can be traded for or only bought at stations?
3) What is Auto-max-jump?

jumping....
You can attempt to jump to the surface of a planet, but your exit speed is too fast to survive, so you'll burn up quickly. One player has apparently successfully jumped directly into the tractor beam of a city docking pad and survived, but that's a very tricky thing to do. Generally, you need to jump close to the planet, then descend to the surface at sub-light/warp speed.1) Can you jump to coordinates in a planet? Or from inside a planet with out getting fried?
Some items can only be purchased at a station or a planet and inventory varies and cycles with supply and demand, so sometimes you have to check repeatedly for items you may want.2) Does technology exist that that can be traded for or only bought at stations?
It is an imprecise, but long range method of using the jump drive. By pressing Alt-F2, you can jump to the maximum sector distance that your jump drive is capable of. For players who want to explore open space, it provides a faster way to travel rather than having to manually plot jump points. However, it can be much more dangerous since it is less precise and with some drives, you can jump beyond the scanner range of your navigation sensors.3) What is Auto-max-jump?
