ER screensaver?

Vice I know your busy but any chance of an ER screensaver? One incorporating a planet view and some ships coming and going? Maybe with a SW logo in a corner so I can run it at work on the pc to keep me sane? Good advertising too?

Probably not, what little development time I get I tend to devote primarily to the game directly and try to keep up with website, tech support, marketing, and other demands as feasible. I'm not too familiar with setting something like that up, I think it's a matter of building the EXE in a SCR format, which wouldn't be a big deal, but extracting code and setting up a fixed camera flight path system through the game's universe would likely consume a lot of time.

Yeah. SCR can basically be a EXE renamed to SCR. You'd place it in the Windows directory to be picked up. Would a script as the one you used in the Riftspace intro be hard to do with a random system, and a fade in and out?

Well why not make the screensaver more usefull than just ships flying around? It would be great if it was to show the server lsit and players in the server, online news, etc. It really dosent need flying ships, a planet or some random space object would do fine.

is the voice over into a video that could be made into a screensaver - minus scrolling text - or is it rendered on the fly?
