Hi All
Hello Vice,
Fantastic work, played the ER demo, bought the game 30 minutes later.
Enjoying it immensely. I have been looking for something like this for ages, having grown up with Elite on the Spectrum! (yes i am old), and my 8-year-old son loves it too.
I have been charging round the quadrant on single player for a while and I can manage the 8 + capital ok. A Hunter with Banshee, fusion, and excaliber helps, lol.

I intend to start doing some multi-player now, and see how I do on some co-op contracts.
I have two questions: (for the moment)
1. What does "General system notice: new items available " actually mean?
2. in multi-player , are player-to-player communications limited to the "escape" screen chat line?

Again, great game and I look forward to meeting you all online.

Hello and welcome.

1 - It means the inventory pool has been updated and will include new and different items. This happens repeatedly in a system after enough ships have docked with items to cause changes in the inventory pool for stations and or/planets.

2 - Nope, in-game press enter, type, then enter again.

Hop online any time :) There are quieter and busier times of the day, many of us have our ICQ numbers in our profiles in case you want to contact some players in advance.

probably comaslair, there are busy times and quiet times, posting that you will fly in the multiplayer times thread and using icq can help other pilots to know that you are on.............

SW has been pretty active also, we sometimes have 5-8 players on. Just give us a shout when you want to play with ICQ or on the multiplayer thread. Early morning and mid-day ET is often pretty quiet, but some of us can meet you later in the afternoon and evenings.
