Seeing as how much fun it was to have a number of players battling each other online during the testing of the new multiplayer system, I'd like to setup some pre-arranged clan battles. First, we'll need to establish at least two clans for the conflicts, [SW] is mine and I'd like to recruit at least 5 more members. Anyone who'd like to be part of the opposing clan, just post the details here.

If you want to join my clan, edit the pilot0.sw file in notepad and change the first line to have [SW] added before your callsign. We will then be linked by the game's multiplayer fleet system, meaning we'll be green targets to each other instead of the default yellow and opposing clans will be red targets.

Anyone joining either clan, please announce which one here. New players welcome, one of the best ways to improve your skill is to play online. I'll plan on having several training/practice flights before arranged battles to give new players time to learn the basics of combat. Clan leaders (opposing clans will likely want to pick one) should support their team, both financially with in-game credits and with training.

I really think changing clans should be available ingame, by the way. That shouldn't be too hard, should it?

Are there more than the [SW] and [NS] clans now? and is there a list of the clan members by clan other than the normal member list? Thanks

This is an intersting idea.

I shall think about this.

The options I see are;

1 - Join an existing clan.

2 - Start a new clan.

3 - Be and independant.

Each has its benefits, each has it's down sides.

Join a clan and you automaticlly make friends and enimies.

Start a clan and the same applies as joining a clan.

Being a lonewolf, probably means you will be killed by both sides, or ignored by both sides.

Yes, but this way there is a running roster of who has signed up and we can tell if a clan needs more members.

Maybe it would be good to have a dedicated clan forum where clan leaders could post and manager their own membership rosters and also post challenges, agreements, and conquests in that same forum. Good idea?

Hello,

Dedicated forums for clans is a good idea, a place also to discuss tactics and training.

On another point, when you change your in game name, remember to add [ ] around the clan tag. I think this helps the game reconize clan tags.

Vice correct me if I am wrong.
