Increase Speed

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone tell me what frame, or outfit will give me the fastest speed, say over 1000 or better? I have the Phoenix frame so far, and I can only get 900.

A Talon should be the fastest possible frame with a high class engine, but you may have to sacrifice other design aspects in order to get the most speed out of it. Good for racing, but not so much for other roles. You should be able to get a Phoenix at or above 1000 cruise with a high end engine. One of my profiles uses that frame, so I may have to check it out. Oh, you can also analyze the speed capability of a ship you're designing (before your build it) by reviewing the stats at the top of the screen on the right side next to the engine parameter.

Thanks Vice, I was looking for a fast combat ship, most of the hostiles I encountered were clocking over 1000. This will be a big help.

You can also exceed that if you over-ride the IDS and use the afterburner to increase your speed beyond the cruise limit.

Edit: You can get a Phoenix up to 1000 cruise with a class 10 engine.
